Logan Rago: New Moon's Brand Champion and Grooming Superstar

Logan Rago: New Moon's Brand Champion and Grooming Superstar

At New Moon, we're thrilled to celebrate Logan  Rago, our brand champion and a true force in the dog grooming world. Since joining our family at just 15 years old, Logan has embodied the heart, hustle, and authenticity that define New Moon's values.

Hailing from Schaumburg, Illinois, just outside Chicago—the iconic blue-collar city—Logan's Midwest roots fuel his incredible work ethic. Starting at age 14 as a bather, he dove headfirst into the demanding world of dog grooming, a craft that requires skill, patience, and a deep love for animals. Now, even with millions of fans and viral fame, Logan remains grounded, working tirelessly as a neighborhood groomer in San Diego. His latest milestone? Opening his own salon, Dogs by Logan, in La Jolla, CA—a true testament to his journey from a young pet lover to a certified professional groomer and social media sensation.

Harebone Harrison, vividly recalls Logan's impact from the start: "Logan reached out at 15, already building a solid TikTok following. He wanted scissors to elevate his craft and offered to promote them in trade. The timing was perfect—we'd just lost two ambassadors. I checked out his TikTok, watched a few videos, and thought, wow. His heartfelt message and love for dogs shone through. He was the real deal, speaking the truth—exactly what Harebone Shears and New Moon stand for. I was sold instantly. Later, I realized his character and work ethic at such a young age were mind-blowing. I told him he could be doing easier, higher-paying gigs like acting, but his passion for dogs, grooming, and uplifting the industry is what drives him."

With over 6.5 million followers across platforms, including 3.2 million on TikTok (@dogsbylogan), Logan has become one of the platform's most beloved pet influencers. His hilarious, heartwarming videos showcase jaw-dropping "tran-fur-mations," breed-specific roasts (think Huskies as "Karens" or Corgis' "chonkier" vibes), and emotional client stories. Since his 2021 TikTok debut grooming a Shih Tzu mix, Logan's content has exploded—his March 2022 viral clip racked up over 7 million views, cementing his rise. From features in Groomer's Choice to a July 2025 appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark—where he gave makeovers to the hosts' dogs, Lena and Billie—Logan's influence keeps growing.

Logan's Journey and Passion

Logan's journey began with a childhood dream of veterinary medicine, but he found his calling in grooming around age 11, starting as a dog walker to stay close to animals. Now, he champions the profession's highs and lows, from the joy of transforming "overgrown, crunchy dogs into beautiful, brand-new babies" to addressing challenges like groomer's lung, carpal tunnel, and the emotional toll of losing long-term clients. Logan also advocates for mental health in the industry and trauma-informed handling for anxious dogs, sharing at-home grooming tips to help pet owners build trust with their pets.

His favorite partners? His poodle, Raikou, and mentor Gabriel Feitosa, who brought Logan to San Diego to level up his career. The duo's inseparable bond fuels Logan's creativity and drive. Through Dogs by Logan (linktr.ee/dogbylogan), he shares grooming reels, behind-the-scenes content, and partnerships like New Moon scissors across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook, with booking and tool info available via dogsbylogan@gmail.com.

Logan Rago isn't just a groomer—he's a storyteller, advocate, and inspiration. From Chicago's blue-collar heart to La Jolla's vibrant scene, his story reflects passion, perseverance, and a love for dogs that lights up every room (and screen). We're proud to call him New Moon's brand champion and can't wait to see where his journey leads next.
